TWITCH RIVALS SPEC WORK 

Company: Indoor Recess (Ad Competition)

Client: Twitch

Role: Project Manager

Tasks: Managed all project processes including timeline, workflow, budget, and feasibility testing for a cross-functional team across 4 time zones globally.

As part of the two-week advertising sprint, Indoor Recess client Twitch came to us armed with an unusual brief. The goal was to create an integrated advertising campaign for their Twitch Rivals competition via streamers. The catch? Streamers hate overly-branded material, so we needed to create a campaign that looked anything but at a glance.

Knowing that the advertising space utilized a completely different approach to project management, I immediately read up on all I could about Agile processes. In doing so I built the production timeline, kanban board, and process documents in a single day.

In managing my cross-functional team of 8, my job was essentially to make their lives as easy as possible. I scheduled all the meetings, summarized action items, facilitated feedback rounds, and conducted feasibility testing for a $20,000 budget. Efficiency was absolutely paramount so in an all-hands-on-deck effort, I even got to edit our pitch video (which was a totally new and awesome experience).

Two weeks, 22 video calls, and several cups of coffee later, our team submitted our finalized concept-- UNLEASH THE SUPERFANS! By playing off the relationship between streamers and fanbases, Twitch Rivals participants would ask their fans to recreate their favorite rivalry in Minecraft for a chance to win some awesome prizes for both themselves and the streamers.
